Musical Theatre

  • At Fernweh Collective’s Musical Theatre Mondays, students will build character and confidence through theater games, song, and dance! Students will play theater games, learn warm-up techniques, practice audition skills, and of course, learn songs and dances from musicals! Spring Session I is themed “Monsters & Magic” and includes songs from Wicked, Into the Woods, Shrek the Musical, Hercules, & more!

  • Musical Theatre after-school club runs on Mondays for 8 classes each session. Program runs from 2:30-5:30pm.

  • Our main program is held at the Clubhouse at the Golden Hill Recreation Center in San Diego, CA. We also utilize the playground for free play and snack.

  • For Spring 2026, we offer three sessions of 8 classes each. Our showcase will take place at 5pm on the final day of each session.

    • Session I: Magic & Monsters 12 Jan- 16 March (No classes on holidays Jan 19 and Feb 16)

    • Session II: 6 April- 2 June (No Classe on Memorial Day)

  • Each session is $320 per student and includes snack and all props & materials.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Randall Ulyate, PhD, RYT500, TESOL
Collective Founder & Educator

Randall is a yoga instructor, educator, and mom of an AEA kinder. She has a BA in English, a PhD in mythology, a graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and holds a 500-hour advanced yoga certification.

Lorena Wentling, MPH
Early Childhood Educator

Lorena Wentling grew up in Quito, Ecuador. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education with the Concentration in Teaching and Initial Education Management in 2011 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. Later in 2019, Lorena obtained a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Mental Health at National University.

Maria Zschemisch is a Preschool Teacher and Early Childhood Educator. She completed her degree in Early Childhood Education in 2006 in Germany and is now working on her Bachelor’s in Professional Health and Social Services. She was born and raised in Germany and moved to San Diego in 2012.

Vanessa Klein is a Lakeside resident, chef, and mom of three kids. Vanessa has worked in kitchens and schools around the greater San Diego area, working with elementary and middle school aged kids. She is the founder and owner of Ceres & Co, a small-batch meal service that delivers homemade farm-to-table meals.
